Look who’s here? Our dear lost friend, Fall! As frustrating as it can be to bundle ourselves up with clothes for this season, it’s equally a relief as no more tucking the belly in needed as with our summer dresses. Hmm, no, I don’t mean to say good bye to our summer dresses for the Fall season. So stop right there if you have already started packing them up because Fall’s favorite sartorial piece (Read “Sweater”) is here to the rescue. And that brings me to talking about 2 simple, easy Fall styling and layering tricks…
Styling Trick #1: Layer a Sweater Over a Summer Dress
Take your oversized or slightly larger sweater and wear it over your summer dress. Simple much?? I am wearing a collar dress that was a big hit this summer and layered a black sequin sweater on top of it, with collars peeping out. As it starts to get colder, tights are a pretty good idea to go with the dresses and it just makes it fancier when you go with unconventional colors or designs for the tights (a store worth checking out for tights collection → Hue). Finally, to opt for a back-to-school look, I put on the white sneakers.

Styling Trick #2: Layer a Sweater Under a Summer Dress
Don’t want to layer a sweater over a summer dress, how about under?? For this to work, you may want to opt for non-chunky sweaters and wear a summer dress over it. If you are not a tights fan, leg warmers are a great substitute and works like a charm when paired with ankle boots.
