Bring Back The 1950s

I am obsessing over 1950s fashion, thanks to some recent TV shows I binged on, to name a few, The Queen’s Gambit, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. So here’s the plea to bring back the 1950s fashion, because really it was just so chic with those flair skirts and dresses. Need a visual reference? No worries, I got you covered. Keep scrolling:

If you are here from my Instagram, you must have seen the series “Guess The TV Show Character” I just did on Mrs. Maisel (oops, did I just give it away?!). I recreated her iconic look with the red dress, light pink colored coat, red beret, red gloves and the pink hanging scarf.

This outfit follows the same flair dress cut with very 1950s belt and the box bag.

Outfit #3

I know I know.. I went a bit extra with this one. But look at that bow at the back, so pretty!! So this was supposed to be again the recreation of Mrs. Maisel outfit with black flair dress paired with the pearl necklace and the silk black gloves. However, it pretty much fits the costume for Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. May be this was the “IT” style of 1950-60s.

Outfit #4

Last but not the least, this beautiful coat with faux fur attachments that you can remove or add as you like. In case, you did not guess already, this is the same coat from first outfit but with added gloves and collar faux fur attachments.

So is 1950s your favorite fashion era too? Be sure to write in comment section about your favorite vintage styles that you wish to bring back.

Until next time ❤
