There it goes, in the half-blink of an eye it’s New Year’s Eve again and the panic about “New year’s Eve Outfit” is back. Like how many times in a year does it come?! I see the entire world prepping up to welcome 2016, when I just want to be low-key, netflix-and-chill and rant about the passing year. Oops, am I bringing the New Year’s Eve spirit too low, let’s try again.
Yayyyy, it’s New Year’s Eve again.. Have you guys already made the New Year’s resolutions? Urghh.. Scratch that.. Who cares about resolutions when we have more compelling decisions to make right now? – “New Year’s Eve Outfit“.
Looks like almost everyone is ready to sparkle like a disco-ball with their sequin outfits, but we pass, thank you (All sequin-lovers, nothing personal, just not this year..)! I am more in a casual-simple-comfortable-outfit kinda mood, anyone else is?! But let’s face it, you can’t be all casual when the surrounding is in such a high spirit. So I am adopting this vintage fashion rule of donning one statement piece and keeping the rest simple. That brings me to the following four outfits that I have narrowed down for myself.
New Year’s Outfit #1- Festive Without Flash – Pairing a statement top with your favorite Denim is the simplest (yet chic-ish) it can get this New Year’s Eve. Add your go-to clutch and the heels to entire ensemble and you are set!
Top- Dor L’ Dor, Denim- Zara, Shoes- Aldo
New Year’s Outfit #2- Houndstooth-ish – Leather shorts and Houndstooth blazer, enough said! I almost wanted to bring the checkered clutch from the first outfit here to name it a “Monochrome-ish” outfit, but next time!
Blazer- De Janeiro, Shorts- Chill On Broadway, Shoes- Aldo
New Year’s Outfit #3- L.B.D. – Just three letters. Al. Bee. Dee. It has worked in the past, it will work again because it works every time. Need I say more?! Thought so..
Dress- Vero Moda, Shoes- Aldo
New Year’s Outfit #4- L.W.D. – Okay if not Little Black Dress, how about Little White Dress. Because no, there is no thumb rule of black being the color of choice for night-parties and white for daylight-parties.
Dress- Dor L’ Dor, Shoes- Aldo
